This is a redesign of the popular book "A man Called Ove" by Fredrik Backman. This project challenged my ability to think outside of the box. After coming up with countless possible ideas, I settled on bringing to life a theme of childlike innocence, which I believe the main character Ove has. While the book has some dark themes, Ove is essentially saved by the love his new neighbours and their children relentlessly show him. My redesign pulls from the drawings the children give to Ove. I created this piece by photographing arranged scraps of paper, and drawing and writing with crayons like a child would. I used Photoshop to colour correct my images and assembled the final cover in Indesign.
